Southern Beauties & Beaus is so happy to announce its sister pageant
“World’s Precious Children”. You have a special invitation to
attend our 2010 National Pageant which will be held at the beautiful
Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Atlanta, GA on May 14th, 15th, & 16th,
2010. Our World’s Precious Children Pageant is dedicated to all God’s
Children and recognizes the importance of adoption and of every child
having a happy home. We adopted our daughter “Malia Eliana” in March
2002 from Guatemala and our daughter “Maci Isabella” in June 2004 from
Guatemala. God has really blessed our family with these two little
girls. There are so many precious little children still waiting for
their forever families. Please call me at (256) 352-4615 if you have any
questions regarding adoption or if you have any questions regarding the
pageant. World’s Precious Children is more of a facial pageant. In
beauty, 50 percent of your score will come from facial beauty. In this
pageant, you can wear dress of you choice. A flower girl dress for this
pageant will be fine, however, which dress (glitz or flower girl) you
choose to wear (as long as it looks and fits well) will not influence
the judges scores. Last year, we had contestants in flower girl dress do
well and contestants in glitz dress do well. Hair/Makeup, flippers, etc.
are allowed, however let your true beauty shine through. In other words,
don’t over due. The judges are looking for a beautiful face. Our
national crowns are simply gorgeous. They feature children from around
the world. These crowns are very colorful and are one of a kind. Please
make plans now to attend!!! Every contestant will receive a Build-a-Bear
and outfit for their bear. These bears are stuffed with love at the
Build-A-Bear Store. They come in their own special gift box. Contestants
of all ages will just love them. OUR SUPREME TITLES WILL BE LEVELED
AGAIN THIS YEAR! Nine Winners (three from each level) will receive a
beautiful National Crown, Banner, and $1,000.00 Savings Bond!!! You
don’t want to miss this exciting pageant. As an added bonus, everyone
who competes in the WPC National Pageant will receive their supreme
package paid to the SBB National Pageant to be held in Atlanta, GA on
October 8th, 9th, & 10th, 2010.

THREE MINI SUPREME WINNERS - This is an optional event. Three Winners
one from 0-3 Yr. Girls & Boys, one from 4 - 7 Yr. Girls,
& one from 8-up Girls with the next highest score from beauty and two
highest optional events will receive a beautiful 10 Inch
Tall National Custom Crown, National Banner, a Build-a-Bear, and a
$900.00 SAVINGS BOND guaranteed plus a special money tree
upon your return to crown next year!!!
TWELVE AGE DIVISION BEAUTY QUEENS/KING - Winners receive beautiful
National Custom Crown, National Banner, $500.00
Savings Bond, and a Build-A-Bear plus a special money tree upon your
return to crown next year. These Queens/King will have the
highest score in total beauty competition. There will be a 2 minute time
limit for beauty.
TWELVE AGE DIVISION PRINCESS/PRINCE - Winners will receive a beautiful
National Custom Crown, National Banner, a
Build-A-Bear plus a special money tree upon your return to crown next
year. This year, we will also award a $200.00 Savings Bond to the
Princess/Prince if there is 10 or more contestants in your age division.
If there is less than 10 contestants, the winner will receive a $100.00
Savings Bond guaranteed. These winners will have the next highest score
in total beauty competition.
THERE WILL BE FOUR ALTERNATES IN BEAUTY WHO WILL RECEIVE BEAUTIFUL
TROPHIES AND A Build-a-Bear.
Those contestants not placing as an Overall Winner, Queen/King,
Princess/Prince, or alt. will receive a nice trophy & a Build-a-Bear.
If we get 50 or more in the pageant, we will more than likely add a
Novice Queen/King in each age group plus 3 Overall Living Doll
Supremes and 3 Overall Beauty Supremes plus some other overall awards.
You will be notified before the pageant if we decide to
add any events at the door. We never add events at the door that count
any bonus points.

OPTIONAL EVENTS
The Grand Supreme, Supreme, and Mini Supreme Titles are based on the
highest scores from beauty and two optional events.
Your choice of one of the optional events listed below is included in
the Supreme Package. You can enter as many optional events
as you would like but you do need to be entered in at least two of these
optional events. A perfect score from each judge in each
optional event would be 61.5 points. Your two highest optional events
plus your beauty score will go toward your supreme score.
GLITZ PHOTOGENIC COMPETITION - This event is optional. Winner in EACH
age division will receive a nice
TOY or GIFT. Pictures can be color or black/white. You can enter extra
GLITZ photogenic pictures for an additional fee.
NATURAL PHOTOGENIC COMPETITION - This event is optional. Winner in EACH
age division will receive a nice TOY or GIFT.
You can enter extra natural photogenic pictures for an additional fee.
COMPOSITE - This event is optional. This includes one page with head
shots and full body/three quarter shots.
One winner in each age division and will receive a nice TOY or GIFT. You
can enter additional composites for an additional fee.
SWIMWEAR/CASUALWEAR COMPETITION - This event is optional. You may model
your choice of Swimwear or Casualwear. A
winner in each division will receive a nice TOY or GIFT. Two Alternates
will receive a gift. You can model this event anyway
you want. There will be a 90 second time limit for Swimwear/Casualwear.
You are allowed to bring your own music.
OUTFIT OF CHOICE COMPETITION - This event is optional. A winner in each
age division will receive a nice TOY or GIFT. Two
alternates will receive a gift. The choice of outfit is up to you. You
can model this event anyway you want. There will be a 90
second time limit for Outfit of Choice. You are allowed to bring your
own music
HOST HOTEL - SHERATON GATEWAY HOTEL IN ATLANTA, GA
The Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Atlanta, GA is located at 1900 Sullivan
Road, Atlanta, GA 30337. The toll free number to call
For reservations is 1-800-784-9400. The Sheraton Gateway is located
approximately 1/2 mile from the airport and has free
shuttle service to and from the airport. The hotel has an indoor heated
pool plus an outside pool. It also has a nice restaurant
and offers Room service. The Sheraton Gateway is located just minutes
away from several exciting attractions including
Six Flags Over Georgia, Zoo Atlanta, plus many more. Please book your
rooms early because hotels in Atlanta do tend to book up quickly.
The Sheraton has blocked off just a certain number of rooms until April
30th. The special rate for Southern Beauties & Beaus is
$94.00 plus tax per night for a double room. Be sure and tell them that
you are with the pageant in order to get this special room rate.
Rooms will be held until April 30th, after that time you may not get a
room and the rates could go up. Should you have any
problem, please give me a call.
ROYALTY GIFTS: Honoring returning royalty is very important to World’s
Precious Children. We are making it easy for you to
honor our returning royalty. I am asking that each contestant bring SIX
$5.00 bills to go on the Money Trees for the returning royalty.
Returning Supreme Royalty will get $5.00 for each contestant in their
breakdown. Returning King/Queen Royalty, etc. will get $5.00 for
each contestant in their age group. Please put all six $5.00 bills in an
envelope and put your child’s name and age division on the envelope.
You must turn this in when you register. If you usually spend around
$7.00 per gift plus the gift bags, this will save you money and time.
I really think the royalty will like getting this gift as it will be
different and they can buy themselves something special with the money
or
use it toward their expenses on returning to crown. I plan to give all
returning royalty a special GIFT also. Just think, it might be you next
year receiving your own special money tree!!!
SATURDAY NIGHT - TREASURE HUNT
I am asking contestants who wish to participate in our treasure hunt to
bring some candy or souvenirs such as pencils, good luck notes,
party favors, trinkets from your state, grab bags, etc. to the pageant
to give out to the other contestants. When you register for the pageant,
I will give everyone who wishes to participate a treasure chest cutout
to tape to their hotel door. I will also give every contestant their own
pirate hat and other goodies to get your started on your special hunt.
Starting at 7:00 PM, contestants accompanied by a chaperone can go
floor to floor looking for treasure. If the door has a treasure chest
taped to it, then you will know they are participating. Someone will
need to
stay in each room to give our the treasure they brought. It is not
mandatory that you participate in this. I just thought it would be fun
for the kids.
Since the older contestants (8-up) will be competing at this time, you
may want to leave your treasure chest on your door so that these
contestants can come by after their competition.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Cameras and video cameras will not be permitted in competition area
as we will have professionals to video & take
pictures.
2. You must be entered in Beauty in order to compete in any
other events.
3. All judge’s decisions are
final and the judges have the right to break any ties. Any act of
unsportsmanship conduct or falsified information
could result in disqualification without refund.
4. Scores will be given
out after crowning.
5. Birth certificates
must be shown if contestant’s age is questioned.
6. Names of contestants
or how many has entered in each age
division will not be given out. Please do not ask.
7. We are not
responsible for any act of nature that might result in
having to postpone competition because of a power outage, etc. We will
do our best to accommodate the situation
if something unforeseen was to happen.
8. All Savings Bonds are
GUARANTEED. Contestants who win a bond
may choose the cash equivalent of the bond.
9. Numbers will be assigned
on a first come first served basis. The first
to come in with their deposit will go out last unless you specify
differently. We cannot guarantee anyone a particular
place in line, however, we will do our best to honor your favorite place
in line-up. If you are wanting a particular
place in line, you need to get your entry in early. It really doesn’t
matter in our pageants, how you come out in line.
Everyone is judged fairly and the utmost attention is given to everyone.
10. Entries that come in without a deposit
or less than a $195.00 deposit, will not be assigned a number until full
deposit is sent.
11. No refunds or credits
will be given. Please do not ask.
12. No checks will be accepted after
April 30, 2010. Cash or money order only
after this date & at the door. You must turn in your six $5.00 bills for
the outgoing royalty at registration.
13.
Supremes & Grand Supremes cannot recompete the year they are reigning
but are asked to please come back &
crown. Mini Supremes, Living Doll Supremes, Beauty Supremes, Beauty
Queens/Kings, Princess/Prince, and Novice
Queen/King Winners are invited to come back & crown but they do have the
choice to recompete if they wish.
14. If
you win any Door Title, Princess/Prince, Beauty Queen/King, Mini
Supreme, Supreme, or Grand Supreme it is
required that you stay for group & individual pictures and that pictures
may be used for advertisement purposes.
Bond money will be given to you after your individual and group pictures
are taken. This is a mandatory requirement
and failure to do so could result in forfeit of your cash award.

The Director reserves the right to alter competition or crowing time in

for ages 0-3 Yr. Girls/ Boys
1:30 PM.....Beauty, followed by Swimwear/Casual Wear & Outfit of Choice
for ages 4-7 Yr. Girls
6:30 PM.....Beauty, followed by Swimwear/Casual Wear & Outfit of Choice
for ages 8-up Girls
7:00 PM.....Treasure Hunt Fun at the Hotel
SUNDAY - May 16th
8:15 AM - Short Church Service. Everyone is welcome.
9:30 AM - World’s Precious Children Crowning Ceremony
